Thank you for your interest in my services.

Every business or professional is susceptible to multiple forms of theft, fraud and loss. As a result, companies must take preemptive measures to protect their assets, both physical and financial. (Click here to see some of the many different ways that companies protect their assets.)

Since founding my company in 2011, I have served almost 1000 separate customers and taken roughly 25,000 inquiries from the general public. Every policy, procedure and agreement that I implement or exchange with a customer is based on first-hand experience in the day-to-day operation of my company, or standard precautionary disclosures for legal or liability concerns.

As the legal owner of your property, it is your responsibility to see to the completion of your home improvement needs. Or, select and hire a contractor who can accommodate your ideal project budget, completion date, terms of employment and other logistical or technical needs and goals that you may have. For referrals to other qualified contractors, please contact the Better Business Bureau of Central and Eastern Kentucky

Thank you for your attention.

Unless stated otherwise, no work will be performed without a legally binding contract.

(Click here to see some of the many different types of contracts used in the business world.)

The Get-It-Done Guy Handyman is a privately-owned and operated business - not a public service. Every private business in the United States reserves the legal right to refuse service to anyone, at any time, for any reason that does not violate a state or federal anti-discrimination law. Before scheduling a consultation or project, I weigh several factors:

  1. Does the customer read and listen to important technical, legal or financial information relayed to them about their work request?

  2. Does the customer appear to have honest and responsible intentions toward business transactions?

  3. Does the customer appear to be competent to personally represent him or her self in legal and financial matters?

  4. Statements, behaviors or circumstances that suggest an inability or refusal by the customer to pay for services or comply with a written or verbal contract, agreement or disclosure

The following can or will result in immediate and permanent termination of services and an invoice for all labor and material expenditures up to that point:

  • Blatantly dishonest or deceptive statements or behavior

  • Blatant avoidance of responsibility or breach of a written or verbal contract, agreement or disclosure

  • Blatant discrimination, disrespect, harassment, invasion of privacy or other offensive, inappropriate non-work-related dialogue, treatment or behavior by anyone affiliated with the work request or subject property

NOTE: In Kentucky, using false or misleading actions or statements to acquire services from a business constitutes theft by deception (KRS 514.040) and/or theft of services (KRS 514.060), both Class D felonies.

A service performed by a for-profit company is a monetary transaction. For any business or professional, theft or loss of labor or equipment, etc. also incurs a financial loss.

(See examples)

Therefore, any blatantly negligent or discourteous action by the customer that incurs an otherwise avoidable loss of property or previously scheduled labor will not be excused for any non-emergency reason, and may or will result in termination of services and/or charges for said losses. “I forgot,” “I was busy” and "Oops, my bad" are not emergency reasons.

Under no circumstances, without express written and/or oral permission or instructions from a customer, will I knowingly, deliberately perform any work-related action, operate my business or otherwise conduct myself in an amateur or non-professional manner, or in a manner that could result in litigation; personal injury; damage to personal property; the defamation or tarnishing of my company or its reputation; give a customer grounds to evade paying full price for services; or otherwise have a damaging effect on my ability to make a living in my current profession.

Until full payment is received for services, I maintain comprehensive, detailed records of my activities, expenses and correspondence with the customer, including: Contracts, retail receipts, timesheets, emails, text messages, handwritten notes, and time- and date-stamped photographs of the work and subject property.
